I build systems for municipalities and regions that make a caseworker's day easier.
I think it matters that our municipalities run well. The money comes from all of us, so the time a caseworker spends hunting for an address or waiting on a system is time that could have been better spent. Day to day I build the integrations to the national registries, and the screens caseworkers actually work in. When I am away from the computer I am usually outdoors, in Denmark or somewhere else in Europe.
Frontend
The tools caseworkers sit in every day
Nemsøg is Angular, and it is where municipalities look up properties, land parcels, companies and people. Before that I built mobile apps in Flutter for meew's clients, including a fitness app that shipped on the App Store.
Backend
Most of what I do
The Datafordeleren migration, the legacy SBSYS gateway, and a set of microservices around CVR, property and BBR, plus taking in scanned documents. Java and Python. What they have in common is that the data has to land in the right place in SBSYS without a caseworker having to think about where it came from.
DevOps
Keeping the builds running
When we moved Jenkins out into the cloud, I was on that project. When we started using Argo I was interning, and part of my responsibility was testing and working on it. Day to day I work with Jenkins and GitHub Actions, and I am often the one who works out why a pipeline has broken.

Groundwork for adopting Kombit's fordelingskomponent, the shared distribution infrastructure for Danish municipalities. That meant learning SOAP and making it work inside a legacy Java 8 codebase. That preparation fed projects the team took on in the years after, and I was hired as a developer at the end of the placement.
